Representatives of Misechko & Partners participated in the Ukrainian Bar Association working meeting on court practice in war-related proceedings

On May 19, representatives of Misechko & Partners Law Firm, attorney Yana Budova and junior associate Valeriia Fedik participated in a working meeting organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association entitled: «Court Practice in Special Proceedings Related to the War: Results of Analysis and Areas for Improvement».
 
During the event, participants discussed current issues of court practice in cases related to:
  • establishment of the fact of death in temporarily occupied territories;
  • declaration of a person as deceased;
  • recognition of persons as missing under special circumstances.
Particular attention was paid to issues of evidence, inconsistencies in court practice, as well as possible directions for improving legislation in cases related to the consequences of the war.
 
Participation in such professional events allows the team of Misechko & Partners to stay informed about current trends in judicial practice, strengthen its expertise in war-related matters, and provide more effective protection of citizens’ rights.
