Extension of settlement deadlines for certain export and import operations
On April 3, 2025, Misechko & Partners, Law Firm received an opinion from the Ministry of Economy regarding the extension of settlement deadlines for certain export and import operations established by the National Bank of Ukraine.
The opinion was issued for Applied Projects LLC, which is engaged in the import of high-voltage electrical equipment (a mobile substation 110/10/6 kV) from the People’s Republic of China.
The basis for obtaining such an opinion was that the production, assembly, testing, and transportation of the equipment require a longer period than the settlement deadlines set by the National Bank of Ukraine. It is technically impossible to shorten or accelerate these processes.
As a result of reviewing the application submitted by Applied Projects LLC, the settlement deadline under its foreign economic contract was extended from 180 to 580 days.
