Obtaining the status of a critically important enterprise for a Representative Office of a Foreign Non-Governmental Organization
Misechko & Partners Law Firm successfully supported a project aimed at obtaining the status of a critically important enterprise for the client — the Representative Office of the Conflict and Development Foundation, a foreign non-governmental organization carrying out its activities in Ukraine.
Within the framework of the project, the specialists of the law firm prepared a legal position and a complete set of documents required to confirm the client’s compliance with the criteria of a critically important enterprise, and submitted the relevant materials to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine.
Following the review of the submitted documents, the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine adopted a decision to grant the client the status of a critically important enterprise, which allows for the reservation (exemption from mobilization) of military-liable employees and ensures the uninterrupted operation of the organization under martial law.
The main mission of the Representative Office of the Conflict and Development Foundation is the implementation of social projects related to the restoration of Ukraine’s critical infrastructure on a non-remunerative basis, funded by the parent foreign organization, Conflict and Development Foundation.
Among the key implemented projects are the restoration of the Government Building of Ukraine (elimination of damage) located at 12/2 Mykhaila Hrushevskoho Street in the Pecherskyi District of Kyiv; the restoration of the “Lokomotyv” Stadium in Kyiv, which was destroyed by a missile strike; the procurement of heavy equipment for the production of parts for locomotives and rolling stock for Ukrzaliznytsia JSC; the construction of civil protection shelters in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions, as well as many other initiatives.
Obtaining such status is a key element in ensuring the stable operation of non-governmental organizations involved in the implementation of humanitarian and social projects in Ukraine.
The project was handled by Yana Budova, Attorney-at-Law at Misechko & Partners.
